I know that the time it takes to process it is extremely minimal, but it is still a tiny, tiny bit of time. But the online check is definitely something I'd say should be toggleable. So by the latter part, are you saying that the game detection will not look up games on GameBomb(?) if you're not logged in in the InputMapper application, or what do you mean by that?

That doesn't prevent processing power being spent on identifying games and internet being used to get information about the identified games, however, and thus I'd like an option to disable the former if possible, and I see no excuse for the latter to be enforced.

Do you think it'll be possible to "override" the game detection to not do anything at all? I'm completely okay with my DualShock 4 simply being mapped to a virtual XBox controller with nothing fancy going on, and for the rare occasions that I want something fancy to happen, I'd personally rather adjust it to be that way manually when needed.

So for me, it basically feels like a waste of processing power to have InputMapper bother trying to check what I'm playing, even more so when it uses the internet to find out things about the thing I'm playing.

I understand that game detection for InputMapper is very useful for some people, but I'm just not one of those people myself, so I'd appreciate an option to disable it fully.
