Ok, so its done (the deed not the code, still a lot more work to do). IM 1.6.1 has been officiall pushed and you guys should start getting update notifications shortly.

Keep in mind that I cannot possibly account for all bugs that may occur with specific setups. Also keep in mind that this Win 10 AU workaround that is included in the patch is a workaround only and any actual fix MUST come from MS as that is where the issue resides.

I fully expect bug reports so go ahead and drop them on our forum. Remember to include %appdata%\InputMapper\crash.log if it is a serious issue and the applications built in log if you are able to get to it.

Also feel free to drop comments or suggestions about the changes made and other changes you would like to see made.

There is no way?

There is a way. Using the official Sony DS4 dongle is the only way to currently get audio and mic support on the PC.

But it is a hardware or software problem?

If you want audio you need to use the Sony Wireless Dongle.

I cant seem to use microphone with the Sony adapter. Audio out works fine. Any chance inputmapper is impacting? I am running 2 usb adapters now for ps4 ds connection stability so happy to help diagnose any multi controller issues if needed.

Promise to behave?

Thatll do the trick thanks!

Running 1.6.8 and if I open Device Manager (some other apps with popup dialogs as well, but DM is easily repeatable) on Windows 10, then I lose mouse control. Issue isn't new, I think this happened on older versions as well.

Try removing your configuration file, something may have gone funky in there, then login again and exit the program then start it again.

86'd the icon packs in lieu of the now used icon font, the setting was just forgotten in the shuffle.

Ok guys, so tell me what you think about this:

Finally got around to finishing my font that will have all the icons in it for use throughout the app and added several DS4 states to the font.

The lines above the DS4 indicate the signal strength, which in turn is also an indication of latency.

The battery level now has its own icon to the side, and non connected controllers no longer show up and take up space.

And since it is a font at some point if I want to add an option to change the icon colors for customization its easy to do.

There were problems with the earlier installer, which got stuck at 'publishing update information' (?) and refused to finish.
With 1.6.3 everything went perfectly.
I have the error log if that would be of interest, beyond that I only have congratulations on a job well done.

Ahh gotcha, ill get right on the bug that you provide no information, logs, steps to reproduce, or screenshots for.

Make the black screen blue. check.

That's what I meant by magic, and that's kind of what I assumed it was doing. I set updates to install automatically, but it didn't find 1.6.3 until I manually checked via the tools menu. Anyway, I just figured it might be good to know that more than one person got the driver bug. That wasn't just one wildly specific Windows configuration, like so many software bugs are. All is working fine now, apart from the "please try to connect the device again" log message that shows up even when the connection works, so thanks for the speedy updates.

Aaron Luedemann wrote: So two things to report from my first experience with 1.6.2. First, I had the same bug as Wobbles, with InputMapper trying and failing to install the virtual bus. I fixed it by using that pcsx2 forums link that that other person linked above. Second, this version of InputMapper is magically compatible with my Windows 10 Anniversary Update installation, and doesn't require the exclusive mode tool. So either InputMapper 1.6.2 is magic, or Microsoft fixed that weird thing where the Anniversary Update constantly looks for and tries to grab controllers in the cumulative update I got a few days ago. Either way, it's an improvement.
Edit: Actually, one more thing. A typo in the app. "Enabe web service"

.3 update should fix the driver issue. And it's not magic, 1.6 uses the exclusive mode tool In the background.
