The new Sony Dualshock 4's have started showing up for individual sale on Amazon. Though no major changes that warrant tossing your existing Dualshock 4's, they are worth a look for future purchases.

The specs don't contain any differences and the controller will behave just the same when connected to a PC as existing controllers. Sadly, my and many others primary complaint with the DS4, the battery, was not addressed. They do benefit from better build quality on the internal workings of the sticks and triggers though so it is worth a look if you are planning to make a purchase. The light bar has also been modified to include a forward facing sliver which can be helpful in getting a quick glance at battery life, but may become a nuisance for nighttime gamers.

Perhaps that possible in PS4 applications through some protocol tweaking, but when it comes to PC, the bottleneck is the BT and USB protocol itself which simple hardware cannot circumvent.

Now if they are talking about latency at the hardware level then we are only talking about millionths of a second as the hardware of the DS is already pretty snappy.

Either way, definitely don't buy a DS4v2 expecting it to have lower latency on a PC.

Didn't they say the controller will have lower latency when reveal a couple months ago? I think that's something worth getting DS4 V2 for.
