I make my final valiant attempt to explain the differences between latency, data rate, and what IM measures and how it is/is not useful to users. I also get to showcase the new Macro Studio that I am very excited about that now has the ability to record!
An input protocol developed by microsoft in the mid 90's designed to attempt to standardise communication between input devices and games. Direct input has been mostly replaced by XInput for most gaming devices, but Direct input remains fully supported by Microsoft due to the fact that complex devices such as flight sticks and wheels require it due to the more complex and higher number of inputs.
The latest name of the controller mapping development project.
4. that was over bluetooth, so i thought there was interference, so i connected via USB - same thing, freezing input, and constant loud notifications that latency is above recommended, for a week my controller was collecting dust
lets use past tense because i just downgraded to 1.5.3 and everything is now perfect
1. yes it was very noticeable in games, the throttle or turning a car would literally get stuck and keep turning or going forward
2. and at the same time i kept getting annoying loud "ding" notifications, warning that my latency is higher than recommended, the signal bar showed 3/5 bars, and latency would be 24-30
i haven't posted because ive been busy, however ever since i started updating, it got super bad, latency is constantly above 20, nothing has changed since my original setup, what was the reason for the ping spike?
what is wrong with the new update, its absolutely horrible, entire new generation of updates have ruined all the work, the latency is atrocious and is very very unstable and unreliable, im deleting the sowtware and downgrading to what i had that actually worked, i dont even know what version i began with, how do i find out?
