Just a quick one, but I think i've hammered out some bugs in the HidGuardian installer that was causing a couple people issues, and there is a possibility that BT support is now possible in HidGuardian!
The latest name of the controller mapping development project.
HID is a device class assigned to any device that takes physical user input and transforms it into application regignized input.
An input protocol developed by microsoft in the mid 90's designed to attempt to standardise communication between input devices and games. Direct input has been mostly replaced by XInput for most gaming devices, but Direct input remains fully supported by Microsoft due to the fact that complex devices such as flight sticks and wheels require it due to the more complex and higher number of inputs.
Sorry for necro but this seems like the right thread for this. How do you uninstall the HidGuardian driver? I see the Uninstall Service shortcut but I don't see anything to uninstall the driver in the x64 subdir.
I have IM 184.108.40.20691 running Windows 10 Home 64-bit. My DS4 is connected via BT and I lost exclusive mode during the creators update.
Current version of Windows 1703 // Current OS Build 15063.138
I installed InputMapper HidGuardian 1.0.6230.17641 today, and I now have exclusive mode back.
Thank you for the hard work and also I hope the information I posted helps you out.
IM 1.6.10 cannot detect my DS4 after installing this new HID Guardian for both USB cable and Bluetooh. (if wired just charges ds4, with generic 4.0 bluetooh ds4 is paired by windows, white led is lit but not recognized by IM) .
I had to remove the Hid guardian server to fix detecting.
