Very good software, still a bit buggy to load on Windows 10. It's a life saver for games, cheers for the commitment. The add system is very clever, and I'm happily paying 2.00USD for all your commitment and spent time. Cheers <3

Does Windows 10's Creators Update really break InputMapper?

Recommend Windows 10 users DISABLE automatic update:

Getting a lot of reports that Microsoft Creators update has broken Inputmapper 1.6 from functioning at all. I have not tested yet as Microsoft has not publically pushed it as an update yet but I would avoid it until we figure out what is going on. For those who have already updated early I have been told that InputMapper1.7 works so long as you DO NOT INSTALL HidGuardian (Do a custom install and un-check it). More to come once the update is pushed publically and I have had a chance to test.

Late video, but here we go over from start to finish how to use the HID Report Listener tool to decode a device and send me the data needed to add the device to InputMapper.

Download the utility here: https://inputmapper.com/downloads/download/5-tools/75-hid-report-listener

For users that have been interested in getting additional devices supported under InputMapper, I have released the HID Report Listener utility that I demo'd in lst weeks check-in video. Tomorrows checkin will contain more details and how to use it in addition the information I would need to add a device to InputMapper.

Things have been in a constant state of flux here with ever changing equipment and software, but hopefully I am narrowing down on a setup I like in this weeks video.

For the most part I talk about a new tool in development that should aid users in decoding HID packets that I need to add support for various additional controllers, contrary to what people seem to think it is not as simple as just giving me a VID/PID.

Also still working on moving the macros back to the profiles section of the application and testing some of Benjamins new drivers in the mean time.
