Is my BT dongle incompatible with IM?

3 years 1 month ago #1 by letsbefrank
I'm using a hama 4.0 bt dongle but IM says it may be incompatible, maybe there's an option that I need to turn off or Idk. Please advise.

Needs to be a Broadcom compatible chip-set for BT

I haven't had the time to read the full specs on it, but if it doesn't say Broadcomm chipset specifically then the odds of it working drop significantly.

There is a small possibility that this may be compatible in the next version of IM however, I have been working on ways to expand compatibility.

I can exchange that for a ASUS USB-BT400, it says it's based on a BCM20702A0 chipset. I'm assuming this one would work with IM, righT?

That looks like itll work. If you live in the US this is the one I use and its pretty cheap: amzn.to/25fhRai

No I'm in Bulgaria. Ok, I've put on the asus one but although the ds4 pairs it's really laggy. Is it just the dongle or I've messed my drivers or something
Edit: Now've had it connected for about a minute and now it seems fine, maybe it was just a fluke I'll need to test it more...

Nah it's back but in the windows gamepad setup it have any noticeable delay but IM displays up to 50ms delay. Do you have any idea what could be causing this.

make sure to close you BT settings window and reboot the PC, if that doesnt work try using the official Broadcom drivers from Broadcoms website
