2 years 10 months ago #1 by dogbreath
Windows 10. Just installed. new functioning Ps4 controller not detected. tried all usb ports. good cable.
Ps3 controller detected, but not Ps4. It does not appear in devices at all.
anyone know of a fix for this?

Where'd you get the cable from, even without any programs or drivers of any sort Windows should have no problem detecting the controller at least over USB.

You nailed it! I was trying with a new Zacro, micro usb cable I got through Amazon to replace the original, very short one which had poor connectivity after much use.
The old one connects, though intermittently due to wear. Can you recommend a good, longer cable?
I don't like the blue tooth route due to latency issues I've read about. Thanks!

I was using this amzn.to/2hjaACn for a while and it seemed solid, but am in the process to phasing all my stuff to use these amzn.to/2gIvc6H as they seem to be built to last.

Thanks again! I can't believe it was that simple.
The cable I bought was just for charging.
What price education?
