Hi, I own...
2x official wireless adapters
2x PS4 controllers and a Dual charger station for both controllers...
Red/Black controller is Player 1
all black is Player 2
The energizer charge station...
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I have not tested a lot of stuff when using 2x adapters and have never had need to use the Audio jacks in the controllers.
In fact I presently only own 1 headset that works with the controllers.
One issue I think there might be is the inability to have both controllers use audio. At least on Win10 I am not seeing a way to give both controller audio rights. (Not sure if that is what you would call it but hopefully my point is made)
However the use of 2x adapters with Inputmapper has been a dream.
Here is what I do at boot..
1. Boot PC.
2. Wait to see both controllers on and connected (Blue lights will turn on on the controllers)
3. Run Inputmapper to have both controllers work in Exclusive mode.
4. Boot steam and enjoy my fav games.
Simple process that works EVERY time.
Anyway, if you need any testing done using 2x official adapters Wobbles I will be more then willing to help.
Glad to hear it works. I assumed it would but never tested. You can use any headphone with the controller, they are pinned the same, I just use my cellphone earbuds. The audio is a difficult issue as you said Windows itself does not have the ability to split audio, there however may be 3rd party apps such as ASIO drivers that can split output at a driver or software level.
