That doesn't prevent processing power being spent on identifying games and internet being used to get information about the identified games, however, and thus I'd like an option to disable the former if possible, and I see no excuse for the latter to be enforced.

I know that the time it takes to process it is extremely minimal, but it is still a tiny, tiny bit of time. But the online check is definitely something I'd say should be toggleable. So by the latter part, are you saying that the game detection will not look up games on GameBomb(?) if you're not logged in in the InputMapper application, or what do you mean by that?
