Unable to get 1.7 working with a DS4 controller

1 year 2 weeks ago #1 by Justin
i have the ViGEm drivers fully installed, as per the ViGEm website, confirmed they are installed and loaded, however, when i load the 1.7 nightly and attempt to connect the controller the light bar goes solid white, it is connected, but not showing up in 1.7

any ideas?

Light bar doesn't work yet from what I can tell.
The light bar turns off with the Sony dongle. Can restart the controller to get it to come back on White.

im not using a sony dongle, but a generic brand dongle but it has no problem connecting the controller as a regular wireless controller as its supposed to.. but the issue isnt the light bar, its just not connecting at all.. the connected devices SHOULD show up near the top like on 1.5, but it doesnt, theres nothing

Did you go to the zip file properties and unblock the zip file before extracting? That was an issue I was having with controller not showing up as window was blocking the plugins. Also need to give the program a good 30 seconds for it to load the controller.

no, everything extracted properly, the plugins were moved to the proper folder, and the log shows they loaded too.. could there be interference with version 1.6 or 2.0?

You need to make sure to unblock the dll's like wirenut said.

i finally got it to work.. there was no unblocking of any zip files, i have admin privileges, do not use any added account security, and manage archive files with 7-zip

so what i did was opened up power shell, gave it the command to purge all devices from the system, then manually reinstalled.. its working now after doing this, thanks for the help.. however, seems the buttons and axis' are all screwy
