Question on the exclusive mode fix tool

3 years 2 months ago - 3 years 2 months ago #1 by Kino
So I use my PS4 controller currently wired because for some reason bluetooth causes it to interfere with the wifi on my laptop and kills my internet speed, so I was wondering if the Exclusive Mode fix tool works with wired mode, via disabling and re-enabling "HID-compliant game controller" ? And is it safe to use? As in it won't change something that might possibly mess my laptop up? After a past experience in getting a BSOD from messing with things in device manager I'm a little paranoid about touching anything there lol.

Touching HID devices in device manager should not cause a BSOD unless there are some serious underlying configuration issues with the PC to begin with, but the tool ONLY targets specific devices, including USB DS4s.

As for the Wireless issues, both WiFi and BT operate on 2.4GHz and combo cards in laptops usually put the antennas within centimeters of each other if not share a single antenna, so the interference is massive.
