Windows thinks 1.6.10 contains malware

3 years 5 months ago #1 by Naylia
Subject: Windows 10 thinks 1.6.10 contains Win32.suloc trojan malware and automatically uninstalls it

Version: 1.6.10

OS Version: Windows 10, Build 1607, OS Build 14393.321

Tried installing multiple times, Windows always uninstalls. Rolling back to 1.6.9 and everything runs fine.

This is odd because I just uploaded the latest installer to an online meta scanner and for one of the few times ever it got 100% clean bill of health: www.virustotal.com/en/file/dff494dfd5fc3...212b1d95d4/analysis/

I run windows defender on Win 10 and have not had any issues, that and the fact that you are the only one to come forward with this so far makes me thing you may have an actual worm virus that is infecting exes on your PC. If you don't think that's the case you can always tell Windows Defender to ignore it, but I'm on the same defender and it hasn't yelled at me yet.

So you might actually have a virus on your PC infecting other files because I submitted the EXE directly to MS and they said that their scanner is already calling it clean: www.microsoft.com/security/portal/submis...D8-B1DD-D000C0417034

Windows Defender Full Scan and Avast Full Scan's got me no hits, so I might just give it a few days and try again.
