R. Stick axis sensitivity mismatch

2 years 11 months ago - 2 years 11 months ago #1 by Mark
I have the mouse movement bound to both sticks:
      <LXNeg ActionType="Mouse" FunctionType="None">MouseLeft</LXNeg>
      <LXPos ActionType="Mouse" FunctionType="None">MouseRight</LXPos>
      <LYNeg ActionType="Mouse" FunctionType="None">MouseUp</LYNeg>
      <LYPos ActionType="Mouse" FunctionType="None">MouseDown</LYPos>
      <RXNeg ActionType="Mouse" FunctionType="None">MouseLeft</RXNeg>
      <RXPos ActionType="Mouse" FunctionType="None">MouseRight</RXPos>
      <RYNeg ActionType="Mouse" FunctionType="None">MouseUp</RYNeg>
      <RYPos ActionType="Mouse" FunctionType="None">MouseDown</RYPos>

Left stick works just fine.
Right stick, however, has different sensitivity on same axis depending if you move it in one direction or another.
More precisely, moving it up or left seems to have at least 3 times more sensitivity (translated to cursor movement speed) compared to moving it right or down.
So for example, moving the cursor from left to right side of the screen will take around 2 seconds, while moving it from right to left takes less than 1 second.

Not sure when this started happening, probably after some InputMapper update.
I haven't installed any Windows updates in the meantime, and haven't changed IM profiles at all.
This issue did not happen to me before.

Reinstalling IM did not help.
I had the 1.6.10 version, using 1.6.9 did not help either.
Win version: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit version 6.1 build 7601

Just did another test:

set sensitivity and curve to 10% on right stick:
moving the cursor from left to right side of the screen takes around 4 seconds
moving it from right to left takes maybe half a second

This was hit on in a different thread, but since 1.6.11 re does all of this anyway, the fix is rolled into that update

Where do we get 1.6.11?

The latest version accessible in downloads is 1.6.10

Hi!
I have a similar problem when I try to use my right stick as mouse and I can't find 1.6.11 either: does inputmapper2 is accuratly described as a broken alpha version or a beta? Both terms are employed in the download section.
Thank you!

have you tried setting it up with macros? Believe .11 has become 1.7 which is still in beta, but does work with limited functions.
