Right Stick mapped to mouse problem

2 years 10 months ago #1 by Landon Cargill
I just downloaded Inputmapper and while making a new profile I mapped Right Stick to the preset "Mouse." It is a default profile except for "Trackpad as Mouse" being turned off and "Right Stick" mapped to the preset "Mouse." The problem is that whenever I switch to this profile, the right stick works as a mouse but the cursor moves leftward and downward when neither the mouse nor the Right Stick are telling it to do so (It goes leftward and downward when the Right Stick or mouse is moved and also when neither are moving.) The mouse is normal when it is on the Default profile (The touchpad moves the cursor and the cursor doesn't go left and down by itself). Please help.

Crash log: None, it didn't crash.

I added a dead zone and I'm still getting drift. I'm using a brand new PS4 controller fresh from the box and the newer model. Depending on how the right stick comes to a rest my mouse will slowly inch it's way up the screen. I've tested very high dead zones and it's still doing it.

Ah, switching it to "Radial_Hard" fixed it. Thanks!

I've got the same problem.

I still get mouse drift left with deadzone on 100%, I can move mouse left but no other direction.

With Radial_Hard I get a higher mouse speed left than right (Around 1.5-2 times faster)
I can get pointer to be entirely still by nudging the stick (then just leaving it alone)

Also, offset wizard is completely non functional. I just get a white window that makes IM unusable until force quit.

use radial hard but only set it to 1-3 percent

Did everything you said and it does work, however, I ran into another problem. I move my mouse around left, right, and down. All these move at a nice constant speed, but when I move up it shoots up. It even does that when I've set the sensitivity to zero.

The unequal sensitivity is a known issue I have resolved in the next version
