Cannot Map PS Button

3 years 4 months ago - 3 years 4 months ago #1 by Chris
Hello, I am trying to map my PS Button with Input Mapper. On DS4Windows this works just fine, however, on Input Mapper, it just seems to not work. I set the button, click "save", but the button does not function. I'm trying to map it to either the Xbox Guide or the numpad star (*) for use with the Steam overlay. (I have shift+tab in steam set to *) I've tried mapping PS to other buttons and apparently normal letter keys work, and the mouse, and normal controller buttons.

I am using Windows 10 and version 1.5.31.19358 of Input Mapper.

Okay, I made a new profile and left it on the guide button and it works. Thanks. Still odd that I can't map * though.

You dont need a new profile if you want to keep the default functionality, just use the already included default profile which is already selected by default. And yes you can map the PS button.

The profile I was using wasn't letting me map my button so I created a new one and it's defaults worked fine. Now I've tested a few keys and it seems the only one I can't map is the * button on my calculator pad. I can't map it at all apparently.

(o.O) New profile defaults are the exact same as the [Default] profile. Try a different key, apparently keyboards vary whn it comes to the arrow and numpad keys making it difficult to virtualize them
