how to set up auto-sense to work with the windows desktop

1 year 7 months ago #1 by supergamer
I am trying to use the ds4 with a surface pro 3 tablet. I want it where when i am using the desktop, like regular windows, the ds4 uses a specific profile where i basically have the thumbsticks setup like a mouse.

but in games and stuff, i want ds4 working like a regular controller, either the default mode or other custom profiles.

now i can get the auto-sense to detect the games with the exe of the game. But how to do it for the desktop? should i use the explorer.exe?

What would work best is to select your desktop profile as the default app sensing profile in settings. That way that profile will always be used until you launch a game or other app with an auto profile. You then don't have to worry about what you assign it too, or other apps stealing focus.

Asus STRIX X299-E GAMING MB, i7-7820X 3.6/4.5GHz 8-Core, 32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum (CMD16GX4M2B2400C10), NVIDIA TITAN X (Pascal), Samsung 970 Pro 1TB M.2-NVMe w/Western Digital 2TB (WD2000F9YZ), Samsung 65Q9FN QLED, HTC Vive, 850w PS, W10
