"Input Mapper has stopped working"

3 years 11 months ago - 3 years 11 months ago #1 by PerfectDork
Every time I attempt to launch Input Mapper I get the error in the title. I've tried disconnecting all controllers in the device manager and reinstalling Input Mapper, but nothing changes the error. Anyone have any suggestions?

BTW this has only started happening in the last day. I used it a few days ago and it was fine.

There should be more details in the error, I need those. and a Crash.log

Well the only other thing the error says is "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." That's it, no error code or anything.

How would I find the crash log, by chance?

Thanks for the help.

its in %appdata%\InputMapper\crash.log

Hm. I've gone to that folder and the only things there are another folder called "Profiles" and a file called "Configuration.xml." No crash log to speak of. I've tried opening the program and letting it crash to see if it would create a crash lag, but still nothing.

Either a 3rd party program such as radeon pro or TS3 is causing issues or your .net needs to be reinstalled

Aha. Thanks for the tip about third party programs. Turns out that Input Mapper doesn't play well with RivaTuner. That seems to have done it. Thanks for the help!

IM is GPU hardware accelerated to give it an extra boost in performance, because of that some programs mistake it as a game and do stuff that breaks its normal operation.
