Windows 10 Users with exclusive mode issues!

3 years 11 months ago #1 by Wobbles
Read this BEFORE posting for help if you are a Windows 10 user.

Make sure Windows updates are ENABLED! If you have an outdated build I am unable to do anything to help as there were issues with Windows itself in early builds.

Make sure you are NOT On the Windows 10 Insider or fast-track build. These are essentially beta versions of Windows and I am unable to diagnose your issues properly when you are on an already buggy OS.

As of the time of this post, the current stable version of windows in build 10586.494.

Windows 10 Version 1607 was released today. Unconfirmed reports are that this Windows update breaks exclusive mode.

Will report back once I have confirmed this. Recommend people hold off on update until more is known.

Windows 10 Version 1607 is in fact NOT compatible with exclusive mode.

Microsoft Windows 10's recent update, version 1607 dubbed the Anniversary Update, will break InputMapper's ability to connect to the controller exclusively which is required by some games.

I have not found a workaround as of yet and it is doubtful that one exists. So until a solution is found, it is important that users needing exclusive mode disable Windows updates temporarily. You can see how to defer windows update by reading this link:

I have posted to Microsoft regarding the issue . Please click "Me Too" link to help raise awareness.
