I installed input mapper and hid guardian, my system is win10 17134 and I have 3rd gen ds4 controller, I checked and values in registry are properly added. I checked the sticky and by the looks of it I have hid guardian and other services properly installed, but I still cannot achieve exclusive mode. My question is, is there a way for me to check if any specific app tries to get a hold of ds4? I exited steam and every program that I thought might be the issue with no luck of getting it to work. It would be nice to spot if it's actually the program that prevents it, or is there an issue with inputmapper/hidguardian on my side.

Wow wasn't aware they have come out with a third generation model. You will need to get the HID/VID numbers for it and add them to the registry's affected devices list. The Wireless Controller's BT id will need to be renamed, replace the BTHENUM prefix with HID as has been done in the sticky for Gen 2.
Please post the ID's so I can update my sticky post.
Asus STRIX X299-E GAMING MB, i7-7820X 3.6/4.5GHz 8-Core, 32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum (CMD16GX4M2B2400C10), NVIDIA TITAN X (Pascal), Samsung 970 Pro 1TB M.2-NVMe w/Western Digital 2TB (WD2000F9YZ), Samsung 65Q9FN QLED, HTC Vive, 850w PS, W10
Sorry for the confusion, it's actually 2nd gen looking at id's. I came by article which was reffering to devices with that serial number as 3rd gen, but it's actually 2nd. Now it works! Sorry for the trouble
