EDIT2: OK Finally fixed it. Seems I just needed to update Windows Defender and now it works in exclusive mode.
If anyone else is having this issue, manually download the latest update for Windows Defender from MS' website along with making sure Windows is up to date.
One other thing I found out is that Origin (EA's client) would stealthly run in the background without my knowledge, so IM thought Origin was running.
I've disabled it and now it doesn't give exclusive mode issues.
Benjamin may have a driver level solution for exclusive mode that may fix the issues once and for all for all games, still testing it and including support in IM 1.6.11, but it should make the controller/IM application compatible across the board.
