"No compatible controllers detected"

3 years 2 months ago #1 by Denis
So, I'm on Windows 7 and decided to use DS4 for emulator. I installed IM, plugged in controller and... nothing. Program says that there is no controllers and log (in program) says that it just searches for one. What's wrong?

Were you using SCP or DS4W prior?

I used both in hope to find working emulator of X360 controller. First was SCP, then IM, then x360ce (which didn't even run). I suspect that SCP software may be the reason why IM doesn't work, but not sure

Yea you need to remove all of them fully, drivers from device manager and all. IM will not work with others.

I deleted everything that I found (driver that was installed, software...), but problem is still here. Maybe there is something that I missed?

Once you delete all the other stuff you need to reinstall IM

Then there are definitely still lingering drivers. Does the controller show up in the device manager?

Yep, it shows up like Wireless Controller in Universal Serial Bus devices folder. But it was installed with IM, I'm pretty sure because I deleted it couple of times and re-installed program

IM doesn't install DS4 drivers, they are just part of windows. What are the driver details or provider for that device?
