Light Bar Brightness

3 years 4 months ago #1 by Hrvoje
Is there any way to change the brightness of the light bar? I Like it, but i don't want it to glow at 100% all the time. Is there any way to reduce it to 20% like in SCPToolkit? I haven't tried the newest version, but from what i have seen, there isn't any option.
I don't know how much the LEDs are draining the battery, but i know they are very, very powerful if they are behind at least 2 protective layers.

LED's aren't affecting your battery to any noticeable amount, there is a lot of misconceptions about how LEDs operate. But if you want to make it dimmer anyway just select colors that are darker. Darker color = darker LED.

Alright, thanks for the input. But will this option be considered in future revisions? It's not just the battery life, but the glare and shadows they produce. Not that i mind them that much. A slower option of blinking would also be nice when the battery is close to dying. Right now it's seizure disco party.

as I said, you can already set a dimmer color. darker color = darker light bar.

This isn't much of an issue, i just tried it and it worked. What about Low Battery Mode? We have Charging Mode, Fully Charged Mode, Discharging Mode. Now i know i can just set the discharging to battery type and specify two different colours. But wouldn't be nice to have a 'Low Battery Mode', where for example, i could choose Pulse or Heartbeat when the battery reaches 10-20% instead of having a fixed colour or using two different colours?

Just another Mode when the battery itself is low. A suggestion if nothing else.
