Cannot Open DS4 in Exclusive Mode

1 year 8 months ago #11 by wirenut48
It's not a Hybrid, you run one or the other, thus the reason for not installing in the same default path. They both use the same user/appdata folder but the files won't get overwritten as they use different file names/types for settings and profiles. 1.7 still doesn't have any macro support, but the version in the link I posted is pretty complete for mapping and axis tuning. Just something to try and play around with if nothing else and see if exclusive mode works.

I really like this version of 1.7, just wish it had macros so I wouldn't have to fall back to 1.6 when I do.

I also cannot get exclusive mode on DS4 via USB. My latency is also extremely high for being wired in. The HIDguardian doesn't do anything at all and only makes my controller stop working entirely. I've tried 1.6 and 1.7, with and without HIDguardian, on various Windows10 computers with multiple (I own 6) controllers.

(Edit: I mean to say "HIDGuardian", replaced all instances of "HID Fix" with the correction)

The HID fix doesn't work anymore, only thing that does (for most) is HIDGuardian.

I meant to say HIDGuardian. My bad. When I install it, InputMapper can't even see the controller anymore.

I was also running into issues with controller not showing switching between versions of 1.7. The new ViGEm drivers are not compatible with older versions of IM. You may need to uninstall the vigem drivers if you updated them and stick with the SCP driver and 1.6
